Ecomemb is the first European company specialized in the sustainable regeneration of reverse osmosis membranes, to be reused in the same processes for which they were designed.
It was founded in December 2022 as a spin-off of the University of Girona (UdG) and the Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA), after more than a decade of research. Awarded the 2024 National Innovation Award by the Generalitat de Catalunya as the best science-based company.
